| This inside space is functionally appointed. Plain vinyl upholstered seat facing each other, enough to accomodate 9 to 12 passengers on each side. Attached to the ceiling is a simple pulley system to bring fare and change to-and-fro. The front compartment is a more personal space and religious icons are not uncommon. This one is filled with driver's religious accoutrements. An altar sits on the dashboard filled with angels, icons of the Virgin Mary and the Child Jesus. A rosary bead dangles on the right side of the altar. To the left, a bible. Note the sign atop the rear view mirror: "God is loving and forgiving. " |
